Senior Clinical Advisor, Trauma Research Programs, Cohen Veterans Bioscience

Dr. Jessica Wolfe has been an innovator, behavioral researcher, neuropsychologist and executive in healthcare, health sciences, and public health for over 30 years.  She is currently a senior consultant to ESC (formerly Executive Service Corps), focusing on non-profit strategy and management, and the Department of Veterans Affairs National Center for PTSD which she helped found over 25 years ago.  Jessica was recently appointed professional Research Associate at Harvard Medical School, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.  Prior to that, she served as Senior Research Advisor to Spaulding Hospital Rehabilitation Network’s Institute of Lifestyle Medicine and Senior Research Program Advisor to Partners Healthcare System’s Center for Connected Health where she focused on clinical and research productivity involving wellness and technology innovation. In 2007, Jessica founded BluePond Wellness® LLC, a healthcare startup targeting the seamless integration of fitness and wellness in the built environment with an emphasis on multigenerational living.

Jessica is the former director and founder of the internationally renowned National Center for PTSD’s Women’s Health Science Division where she led competitively funded, large-scale, research initiatives in war trauma, military sexual assault and harassment, and Gulf War illnesses.  During that time, she was Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Psychology at Boston University; she has over 70 peer-reviewed scientific publications.

Jessica received a Doctorate in clinical psychology from Columbia University.  She subsequently completed her Master’s in Public Health (healthcare management) from Harvard University (HSPH).  Jessica has community liaison and board experience including service as a Trustee and Member, Executive Committee, for Harvard-affiliated Partners Continuing Care/Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital Network (2003-2012), Director of Neurofibromatosis NE, Inc., and former Trustee of the Wellesley Free Library.  Other current interests include interactive health technologies, user-centered design (UX), neuroimaging in PTSD and traumatic brain injury (TBI), and stress adaptation across the lifespan.
