Dr. Keita Franklin, the former National Director of Suicide Prevention for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Office of Mental Health and Suicide Prevention, provides a comprehensive overview of the services, tools, and resources available across the nation. The Veterans Crisis Line, Military One Source, 2-1-1, and other Veteran Service Organizations available to support service members, Veterans, and their families are discussed. Written in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, this course also offers detailed information regarding the two Executive Orders: “Supporting Our Veterans During Their Transition from Uniformed Service to Civilian Life” and “President’s Roadmap to Empower Veterans and End a National Tragedy of Suicide”
