Dr. Qwynn Galloway-Salazar joins PsychArmor as Creative Advisor

Army Veteran served as the Lead Advisor for Caring for Veterans Through the End of Life

San Diego, CA  – PsychArmor Institute proudly welcomes Dr. Qwynn Galloway-Salazar as the new Creative Advisor, further fortifying its commitment to serving military and Veteran communities through innovative and compassionate initiatives.

With a distinguished background encompassing roles as an Army Veteran, spouse to a combat Veteran, end-of-life doula, and educator Dr. Galloway-Salazar brings over two decades of dedication to enhancing the quality of life for military and Veteran communities. She founded and continues to lead In Their Honor, a consulting organization committed to ensuring Veterans and their loved ones receive comprehensive care and support through the end-of-life.

In her role as Creative Advisor at PsychArmor, Dr. Galloway-Salazar will provide expert guidance and strategic direction, lending her visionary expertise to several pivotal projects, including Conversations with Caregivers and PsychArmor’s partnership with Blue Star Families on their Support Circles–Upstream Solutions to Crisis program. Her focus will be on shaping compelling and compassionate content centered around the unique needs of military and Veteran communities. Her innate creativity will drive a design thinking approach, ensuring that the content produced is not only engaging but also intentionally tailored to address critical issues faced by these communities.

Dr. Galloway-Salazar's recent groundbreaking work as Lead Advisor for PsychArmor’s new product Caring for Veterans Through the End-of-Life exemplifies her commitment. This transformative collection redefines end-of-life education for Compassionate Communities, Caregivers/Loved Ones, and Healthcare Providers, offering guidance and support infused with wisdom and empathy.

Her contributions extend beyond PsychArmor, as she actively lends her expertise to influential organizations such as the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization’s- End of Life Doula Advisory Council, Veterans Studies Association and the United Kingdom's After Cloud. Dr. Galloway-Salazar also serves as a dedicated Community Mentor to Master and Doctoral Scholars advancing the field of Veteran Studies.

Recognizing her exceptional dedication to service, the Georgia Department of Veterans Services honored Dr. Galloway-Salazar in 2022-2023 as the inaugural Woman Veteran of the Year.
