PsychArmor joins White House committee supporting Veteran and military spouse hiring initiatives in the trucking industry

San Diego, CA - (August 30, 2022) —-  PsychArmor is honored to support Task Force Movement: Life Cycle Pathways for Veterans and Military to Trucking, a White House committee with a goal of strengthening the trucking industry through Veteran employment. Task Force Movement was developed in response to the Biden-Harris Trucking Plan due to the critical nature of the supply chain crisis and the trucking industry’s need to successfully engage with transitioning service members and military spouses across the country.

Task Force Movement for Trucking will host specific break-out sessions with leaders from industry stakeholders, including employers, trucking associations and labor unions, Veteran service organizations, academia and vocational institutions, and government agencies inclusive to military services. PsychArmor CEO Dr. Tina Atherall joins fellow committee members on August 30 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to begin the process of identifying problems and solutions and creating strategies and action plans to make recommendations to key stakeholders and the Biden administration.

“Along with our partners at the Department of Defense, Veterans Affairs, and in Labor and Transportation, PsychArmor believes Veterans have skills and experience that make them excellent candidates to help address these challenges and build the next generation’s trucking workforce. As the premiere provider of education and training in military cultural competency, we look forward to serving our community and our country as a member of this mission critical Task Force,” said Dr. Tina Atherall, CEO at PsychArmor.

The White House Trucking Action Plan mutually benefits Veterans, transitioning service members, military families and the trucking industry by providing direct pathways into trucking careers, helping to alleviate unemployment and underemployment in the Veteran and transitioning military communities, as well as meet workforce shortages which have severely impacted the supply chain across the country.
