RanDee McLain Malone, LCSW,  joins PsychArmor as National Advisor, Strategic Projects and Initiatives

Navy Veteran and active duty spouse has extensive experience supporting the military community

San Diego, CA--PsychArmor is pleased to announce that RanDee McLain Malone will join our team as National Advisor, Strategic Projects and Initiatives.  A Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Navy Veteran, Malone previously served as a subject matter expert  and co-creator with Psycharmor and Justice for Vets on the Veteran Treatment Court peer mentor training. 

Malone has dedicated her career to helping Veterans and military-connected families overcome challenges, including extensive experience with mental health, substance use, housing insecurities and justice involvement. She has worked in a variety of settings, including community mental health clinics, large non-profits and as a national trainer. “I have had the opportunity to work with PsychArmor over the years and see the amazing work they do,” says Malone.  “I am excited to join the team and continue the great work.”

Its offerings include online courses, curricula, podcasts, webinars, live speaking engagements, and social media. 

Currently in a doctoral program at Simmons University, Malone earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from San Diego State in 2012 and her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Southern California in 2014. She remains active in the Veteran community with roles on the California Association of Collaborative Courts; Mayor T Gloria’s Military Advisory Council; Operation Dress Code (Co-Founder); San Diego Military Women’s Luncheon Chair; and the San Diego Enforcers (Director of Community Engagement).


Malone is on faculty for the National Association of Drug Court Professionals (NADCP) and Justice for Vets where she trains mentors and staff in treatment courts across the country. In her spare time, she writes a monthly column on mental health in San Diego Veterans Magazine.   She was named San Diego County’s Veteran of the Year in 2014 and in 2021 was named one of San Diego Business Journal’s Health Care Heroes for her work during the COVID 19 response.
