THE BRIDGE NEWSLETTER
MESSAGE FROM OUR CEO – DR. TINA ATHERALL
PsychArmor recently surpassed 1 million courses taken. As of June 30, we are at 1,082,104, to be exact!
Before joining PsychArmor, I was a learner. As an educator and clinician, I was able to utilize PsychArmor’s courses to educate staff, catalyze change, and provide a greater understanding of the unique culture and challenges of military communities.
I am so proud that we achieved this milestone together. More than 1 million learners like you have taken a step towards bridging silos between civilian and military communities. That is more than 250,000 hours of life-changing education!
In this issue of “The Bridge,” you’ll read that PsychArmor has been busy launching even more courses to help you in your work and life.

UNC SYSTEM ESTABLISHES PARTNERSHIP
PsychArmor Institute and the University of North Carolina System have announced a new joint partnership implemented to help educators and administrators better understand the challenges and opportunities both active-duty and Veteran students face on campus.
Nicole Shaia, who works in our New York office, is our Director of Partnership & Development. “As a nonprofit leader and innovator, I am excited to join PsychArmor’s team to help catalyze change through education. I look forward to working with our incredible supporters, partners, and sponsors to Educate A Nation and create a positive impact for military communities nationally,” she says.
Edward Ayran, who works in our San Diego headquarters, is our new Software Developer. He says, “I wanted to work here because of PsychArmor’s mission. As a member of a military family, I appreciate that the organization is doing its best in educating people about us. But I didn’t want to be just appreciative, I also wanted to do my part in supporting military members and their families. Working here at PsychArmor gave me that opportunity and I thank them for that.”
