Veteran Employment Consultant
After graduating from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 2006, and obtaining her masters in Industrial Organizational Psychology, Liz spent five years as a Logistics Readiness Officer.
Additionally, her career took her abroad to work as an event and travel coordinator for top military and civilian leaders, the State Department and other esteemed politicians from around the globe. She has acted as a liaison between foreign embassies and the United States Government, forming ties to solidify International bonds.
She joined the civilian recruiting world in September 2010 helping both the military and civilian populace find their roles in the workforce. Liz has worked in Corporate HR (Booz Allen Hamilton, CACI and Hewlett Packard) and individual staffing agencies to create robust programs and collaborations between veterans and employers. She currently writes for GI Jobs, provides consultations to such organizations as Military.com, covers corporate partnerships for US Military Endurance Sports (USMES) and travels for speaking engagements to both the employee and veteran community.
Liz is also a military spouse, competitive Ironman triathlete, ultrarunner, Wounded Warrior triathlon coach, proud representative for Ms Veteran America, co-author of a manuscript in progress on using fitness to combat PTSD, and is an active veteran transition advocate/career coach.
She left the corporate world to help more organizations to design their programs and assist a larger quantity of veterans in need; she knows that with her experience she can help educate more organizations to appreciate the veteran mindset and meet their company initiatives. Liz believes that being proactive and positive are two of the best person can bring to the table.
